I'v kinda wanted to have a fun go at a redesign or two with some of the ole web-slingers foes for awhile now as Spidey's rouges always seemed to have an outlandish look to them.
For the Green Goblin I was trying to bring his look to more of a street level creepy serial killer feel, but still have the obvious bags and pouches for all his goodies. I kind picture a tech meets thug feel. At the same time, the Goblin really should feel like the absolute creepiest of all the Spidey foes (more so than Venom even) Just my humble, purist opinion. I mean this dude has taken and challenged Spidey more than any other foe from his past, so he should be the object of Spiderman's nightmares.

So amongst the many areas of my portfolio and work in general I'm trying to further challenge myself in, color studies have been very fun and kinda freeing exercises.
Above is a recent self-portrait as well as a portrait of my wife. Both are very quickly done focussing primarily on color.
Below are just images worked off of screen grabs from the recent Avengers trailer. At current I set up my own canvas with the screen grab sitting right underneath and use it as a pallet. For future screen grabs and color studies I plan on posting I'll try my best to recreate with out the eye-drop tool, in other words taking my best guess as to how to match the colors.
