So, I think I'm finished. Not to bad for my first serious attempt. Definitely a learning experience. I'll be taking what I learned here into the next one I take a go at for sure.

K. So here's a bit more. I must admit I would have liked to put a bit more time in on this today, but I'v honestly been overwhelmed with work lately.

I'm finishing up some tonal paintings for this rad animated short I'v been fortunate to take part in over the past two years. The project is credited to my mentor in animation Aubry Mintz. Aubry's work is great and I'm stoked to be a part of it.

I'm also getting very excited about a side project a close friend of mine and I have been working up. More on that soon.

And of coarse lastly, there's life in general. Busy, busy, busy.

And I'm thankful.

So here's a bit more. Spent some time on his face, touched up a bit more on the hair as well. Still a ways from completion, but an enjoyable process! Check in tomorrow for more.

So please excuse the incomplete illustration. This was supposed to be a rather quick character painting, but photoshop quit on me half way through the process and I hadn't saved most of my progress. Argggg!!!

So I ended up starting over and actually decided to put a bit more time into it. Unfortunately I don't have all evening to spend painting, so I thought I might stretch this out over at least a couple days for fun. Something a bit different.

So check back tomorrow for an update. I really don't know that I would consider my digital paintings quite at the caliber of professional at all, but hopefully with a bit of extra time on this one I can push my work to a new level.
